Are you in?

Welcome, reader, to ReGeneration 2030's plan for 2026!

"The 2026 Plan is our action-driven map for the year ahead, rooted in our three-year strategy to build youth power, sharpen tools, and challenge the systems driving climate collapse. Every goal targets systemic change, building a future of care, equality, and ecological balance.

We reject a world of war, extinction, and endless growth at the expense of people and the planet. We demand a system rooted in care, equality, and ecological balance.

Our generation is ready to build a future that we can believe in - so let’s get started!” - AJ Kaminska, Vice-Chair of ReGeneration 2030

  1. Skill up youth activists through the Catalysts for Change programme

We know the change we need is huge and systematic; it won’t be easy. But from defeating apartheid to winning an 8-hour working day, young people have long been catalysts for progressive change across the world. In the Nordic and Baltic Sea region, it is our generation that both know the most and are the most concerned about our natural environment and working to protect it.

That's why we are running the Catalysts for Change Program again in 2026, uniting young motivated activists from the Nordic and Baltic Sea region to learn together and skill up to be frontrunners of climate action. It will be run hybrid, with an in-person kick-off in early Spring, an online learning period mid-late spring, and a final in-person session and graduation in August 2026.

The programme includes sessions on basics of climate collapse and system change, along with practical workshops about gaining activist skills.

Be the one who changes the system in your neighbourhood, school - and across the world and apply here! Deadline: 20th February

  1. Unite Nordic and Baltic Sea youth movements on Åland

We'll organise our annual summit ReGeneration week in our home province of Åland from 7th - 11th August.

It’s 2026, and the planet keeps getting hotter and the rich keep getting richer. Nordic and Baltic Sea youth have spent a decade asking the people in power to “listen to the science”. It’s becoming increasingly clear that whilst there are big bucks to be made, the powerful will continue to push to make them, however much we tax and beg.

That’s why the camp’s theme this year is JUST TRANSITION - linking direct, material improvement to people’s lives with climate action. Together, we will map out where power lies, who we can count on for support, and chart a path to a future worth fighting for.

The programme will include a climate march, our annual youth plenary, a facilitated sessions to connect and strategise together, alongside a range of other sessions.

Join the launch call for ReGeneration Week 2026 on March 5 AT 17 CET - 18 EET!

  1. Build solidarity across borders

An integral part of ReGeneration 2030 network is advocating for system change rooted in care, equality, and ecological balance. As in previous years, we plan to continue advocating for needed changes in policy making by communicating our positions and participating in conferences on the regional and international level, where we can directly speak to decision makers, as well as being active and vocal in the European Union Stakeholders group and the United Nations Environmental Programme. We will also continue to speak up using social media platforms.

In 2026, we aim to support local grassroots organizations and amplify their voices on the regional as well as international level, and, therefore we are planning to host at least one collective advocacy project between groups in our network.

Get involved!

If your new year’s resolutions include fighting against fascism, help us achieve our goals by signing up to working groups!
